Our Mission of Restoration

The Restore Little Bay Initiative is committed to revitalizing Little Bay in Rockport, Texas, and inspiring environmental stewardship across our five interconnected bay systems. As we restore Little Bay, we aim to spark transformative change throughout our coastal ecosystems.

Our mission is to improve Little Bay's water quality by tackling watershed pollution, sedimentation, and erosion, while enhancing water flow to restore seagrass and foster a healthier ecosystem for wildlife and recreation. We will also enhance the bay’s two major coastal waterbird nesting islands.

We will address these challenges by forging strategic partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as leading conservation organizations, to develop innovative solutions and secure funding for their implementation.

Through inclusive restoration and conservation efforts, we aim to engage and empower our community, ensuring a sustainable future for our coastal ecosystem.

To support these goals, we have now formed a 501(c)(3) non-profit to attract donations from foundations, corporations, and dedicated individuals, while also applying for grants to fund our initiatives.
